About Neal Sher

Neal Sher is Senior Counsel to the New York firm of Simon and Partners, LLP, located in the French Building on Fifth Avenue. He specializes in litigation and government relations and is involved in numerous high profile and noteworthy cases.

Continuing in 2016, he represents in Federal Court over 140 victims (and their families) of the November, 2009 terror attack at the military base, Ft Hood Texas.

Also, continuing in 2016, he is involved in litigation on behalf of victims of Iranian sponsored terror.

Background

  • 1982-1994

  • Mr. Sher served as Director of the US Justice Department’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI) which investigated Nazi war criminals. Under Mr. Sher’s leadership, Nazi war criminals hiding their identity in the United States were stripped of their citizenship and deported.

  • 1994-1996

  • Mr. Sher was Executive Director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a prominent Washington lobby group, where he worked on a bi=partisan basis with members of Congress, the State Department and other agencies responsible for formulating and overseeing the US Policies in the Middle East.

  • 1998-2001

  • Mr. Sher served as Special Advisor to the Attorney General of Canada.

  • 1998-2002

  • Chief of Staff of the International commission on Holocaust Era insurance Claims.

  • 2003 to Present

  • New York attorney working in litigation and government relations.
